A knowledge base is a type of knowledge management system. Though it is still in its early stages, eventually I intend this knowledge base to be a comprehensive, "one-stop" information resource for educational technology.
I am using a tool sometimes called a concept map to depict my knowledge map. According to a University of Illinois website, "Concept maps offer a method to represent information visually." Thus, following the old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words, concept maps provide a very useful method to present a large amount of information.
